At the threshold of a new day…..make it a good one! This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge…Threshold. Is it just me or does that word look like it’s spelt wrong? It’s not….it just looks strange. Have a good week everyone.
Only three more sleeps everyone! I hope you’ve finished your Christmas shopping or are close to it. Unless you’re one of those people who love to leave your shopping to the last minute that is :) Have a Merry Christmas … Continue reading

Commissioned on December 31 1943, the USS Cassin Young had a long career in the US Navy. She saw action in the Central Pacific during WWII and in Korea during the 1950′s. You can find more details here: http://www.nps.gov/bost/historyculture/usscassinyoung.htm … Continue reading
This is one of my favourite shots from my Project 365. I think it was one of the best, if not the best one of the year. You can check the whole project out here if you want to see … Continue reading
A few more shots from our hike in Niagara…
There are a lot of trails in this area and we have only begun exploring them.
Here’s a little more info about the Niagara Glen Trails
We had a great time but there is one big downside
…. It’s a long way back up when you are done…
Here’s a couple of shots of the Niagara Gorge from a recent hike.
Today I went to the Brampton courthouse, the old one, built in 1867. I figured I could get a nice shot for today. So I wandered around for a while, took some pictures and headed home. Got out of my car, turned to my left and……sigh,
They’re working late…just like me.
I had a some spare time this afternoon. So I stopped by a little park on my way home and got the camera out. Here’s a little graffiti Brampton style…
I was sitting outside this morning, having a cup of tea and wondering who the heck has been digging in my garden again. I figured that it was a squirrel or, more likely my cat. (damn cat!) Then this little fella came along.
After I had been stalking him for half an hour or so, he finally became curious enough about what I was doing to come over to take a closer look.
It’s been raining for what seems like forever, probably a bit of an exaggeration there, but it doesn’t matter…the project will go on.
You know, it’s amazing what you can do with things found around the yard…
Not sure why I like this photo, but for some reason I do.
Bit of a different take on the wheel today…
f10, 1/30 of a second.
I love the early morning light, not so much the early morning hours…but the light is fantastic to work with.
Summer’s getting really close, I know cause the flowers are starting to bloom!
Dusk in my backyard.
We planted this tree last fall in memory of my mother-in-law (R.I.P. Oma) and didn’t expect it to bloom this year. What do we know?
A little late with the shot today.
